Awkward start after several staff members ignored us -- were eventually told to sit where we wished. Server was very pleasant, let us know they had a kid's menu but couldn't find it, and gave us a rundown of the options. Suggested bringing my daughter's food first, a good move as the kitchen was very, very slow ... waited quite a while for our food. Restaurant was not full so unsure of the delay on Saturday night. My chicken tacos were bland but were fresh. Husband's beef cheek sliders and sweet potato fries were good. Housemade chips were good as well, but very greasy. Good selection of beer. No hand soap in the men's washroom downstairs (yuck). We're from out of town so selected this establishment randomly from Google maps.
Been meaning to try out Beacon for some time and finally got a chance on Canada Day. They had a special menu that day so you can't count on this review for their regular fair. It was me and my two girls and we split an order of Cheese Bombs and a huge plate of Pulled Pork Nachos. The nachos were listed as an appetizer but we're enough food for four. Pleased to find Ontario craft beers on draft and a server that really knew her beers. Would be back more often if we were local but I know where I'm going for dinner next time I'm in Amherstburg.
Didnt care for the selection in food. Had a watermelon salad and lettuce wasnt chopped very good. Taste wasnt all great either.
Waitress was so nice and great. She had the whole dining room to herself after an unexpected rush of guests, and she was running around doing her best to get to everyone. The food was alright, I wouldn't go back for the food, but did enjoy their local beverage selection and service.
Was in Amherstburg for a festival, Beacon Ale House extended their patio onto the street and it was a great atmosphere! The limited menu was okay, I was a little disappointed with the food (probably from the limited menu). They offered an extensive craft beer list, however were all out of over half of the options. The service was amazing- we had a waiter named Darian and he really took care of us. He was attentive and just a great server over all and I will definitely come back after the festival (hopefully next time Ill be as impressed with the food as I was with the service this time!)
